    About

    • Industrial Training Institute for Women Seer Hamdan Located in the beautiful scenery above the normal ground level, far from the maddening crowd.
    • It has been created under the scheme of Primers Ministers’ Reconstruction Program and is run under the Minister of Technical Education in our state of Jammu and Kashmir.
    • It was established in the year 2005 but had to rest in a rented building for two years i.e. 2005 to 2007.
    • Initially two trades were run namely COPA and Dress making in the first year and another one i.e. secretarial practice in the next year, in the meanwhile the land of 29 Kanals was managed by the local residents and it was donated to the govt. for establishing the institute here.
    • An amount of Rupees 160.00 lacs was allocated by the Govt. for the construction of three buildings viz. the Workshop Block, the Adam Block and The Hostel Block and the JKPCC was the agency to execute the work.
    • Earlier, the institute was given admission only female candidates now it has emerged as common institute for both the genders.
    • Presently Institute is running nine trades viz;
    1. Computer Operator cum Programming Assistant (COPA).
    2. Dress Making.
    3. Secretarial Practice.
    4. Software Application
    5. Mechanic Consumer Electronics.
    6. Pre-preparatory School Management.
    7. Domestic House Keeping.
    8. Plumber, and
    9. Draughtsman Civil. Self finance

    • All the trades are provided with aptly qualified Instructors who have added always a feather by achieving the results from 95 to 100% every year. They hardly care that they are working on contractual basis and get a meager pay as they have hitched the wagon to the star and have full faith on the hierarchy of the department and the present government.
    • The objective of this Institute is to produce skilled manpower. Institute shall commit to enrich each trainee to achieve all round development.
    • How we claim the success of the program can be judged by seeing the qualification of trainees seeking admissions here. The trainees have completed their degrees and even post graduations in different subjects and now feel themselves in a need to have some vocational training so that they can make themselves apple to setup their own entrepreneurs and sell their skill their under. As the people have now realized that the skill can be sold and not a degree.
